Your primary responsibilities as a Scientist II are as follows:
? Manage TD seed increase activities in the Midwest region; ? Manage and execute QC testing strategy for seed increase; ? Partner with Crop Analytics to develop sound testing strategies for QC testing for research and developmental materials; ? Effectively document and communicate QC results with Project Leads and Seed Logistics; ? Assist in Trait Development field studies when available; ? Work as team member for all Trait Development activities; ? Look for opportunities for innovation and/or process improvements to increase production and efficiencies; ? Collaborate with Regulatory and Stewardship teams ensuring compliance and Quality Control for seed increase; ? Manage QMS documents to ensure all SOP? & WI?s are current.

More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
? BS Degree with minimum of 7 years relevant experience or a MS with minimum of 5 years relevant experience or a PhD with minimum of 3 years relevant experience; ? Good organizational skills with ability to work independently and in a team environment; ? Effective written and verbal communication skills; ? Demonstrated knowledge of Agricultural practices and data analysis; ? Hands-on experience with farm equipment such as tractors, planters, harvesters, plot thrashers, etc; ? Good understanding of regulatory and environmental requirements; ? Strong Leadership skills with the ability to influence others as needed; ? Ability to lift 50 pounds.
? Expertise in one of the following program areas; nematode tolerance or insect tolerance preferred.
