Tarrytown, NYWherethe Chemistry HappensBASF is a leading manufacturer and supplier of pharmaceutical ingredients(excipients and active pharmaceutical ingredients, APIs) to the globalpharmaceutical industry. BASF?s Pharma Solutions business (ENP) is part ofBASF?s Nutrition and Health Division, which also consists of Human and AnimalNutrition and Aroma Chemicals. This is an excellentopportunity for a professional like you to demonstrate your experience withmaterials characterization techniques used in the pharmaceutical industryincluding, but not limited to, UV-Vis, Rheometer, DSC, TGA, HPLC, SEM,Disintegration, USP Dissolution, HPLC, XRD, and many others.  You will also be able to share your knowledgeof colloids, film forming, polymer structure-property relationship, coating,drug dissolution, etc.Formulafor Success Leveragingyour education in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Polymers orMaterials Science and your industrial experience, you will demonstrate yourexperience in polymers, excipients and materials science in solid oral andliquid formulations, together with practical competence in the areas oftableting, coating (pan coating, fluidized coating), spray drying, granulationand melt extrusion.Relyingon your Pharmaceutical industry or academic experience in formulationdevelopment in drug release, solubilization, softgels, or polymer-smallmolecule interactions, you will develop your technical knowledge aboutexcipient functionality in oral formulations to promote the ENP business.  You will also use this experience to providetechnical support to Sales and Marketing.Utilizingyour strong capability in project planning and execution, together with theability to handle the complexity involved with multiple concurrent customerprojects, you will create new solutions to address technical problems.Yourproven track record of scientific achievement and for translating scientificknowledge into effective technical applications will serve you well as yougenerate application data to support new product launches.  You will also generate new ideas andcontribute to the innovation pipeline.Servingas an effective team player, you will manage collaborative activities withacademic and external contract organizations.Yourability to work independently with minimal supervision will be a valued assetas you present technical information at conferences and to customers.Demonstratingyour strong hands-on laboratory experience and skills, you will manage andmaintain day-to-day activities in the application lab (e.g. ordering supplies,maintaining high safety standards, maintaining equipment and hardware, etc.)and supervise junior interns.Yourstrong verbal and written communication skills will be essential as you createtechnical reports, articles, conference abstracts and posters, and journalpublications.CreateYour Own Chemistry: What We Offer You Addingvalue to our customers begins with adding value to you.
