Tarrytown, NYWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you for our Scientist position in Separations at BASF Corporation Analytics North America in Tarrytown, New York. In this role, you will have the opportunity to exercise your in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in the quantification of organic chemicals or polymers using various chromatographic techniques. Additionally, you will utilize your experience conducting laboratory operations under industry-standard safety guidelines.Formula for Success Leveraging your Advanced higher education and in-depth knowledge of Analytical Chemistry, or related scientific field, combined with your demonstrated expertise in quantitative analysis of organics and polymers, you will provide analytical support to various business units within BASF using methods including GC, LC, SFC and GPC with a variety of injection techniques and detectors.Utilizing your hands-on experience in Separation Science you will be responsible for the operation, data analysis and maintenance for a variety of chromatographic instruments. Successfully engaging across the organization, you will work closely with Business Unit partners and Analytical colleagues to determine appropriate methodologies to quantify organics or polymers for a wide range of project areas including new product development, competitive analyses, trace analysis for production and product support, customer/technical service and regulatory compliance projects.Experienced in FDA and OECD guidelines for GLP or regulatory protocols for food contact, we will rely on your ability to produce high quality reports which are suitable for submission to numerous regulatory agencies (EPA, FDA, EFSA).Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will serve you well for coordinating analytical activities in multiple labs, leading large projects, and preparing summaries and presentations for business partners and external customers.Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You Adding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
