Scientist, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs ? Decatur, ILThis is an exempt level position. Position Summary: Job holder is to provide regulatory services to the Regulatory group with key responsibilities for industrial products (non-food, non-cosmetic) and to business groups for all areas of the company as needed.
Principal activities are:
Job Responsibilities: Write regulatory approval dossiers, submit and drive approval processes to completion for industrial products as well as for food and feed products as needed.Provide assistance as needed in running business activities, such as labeling advice, acceptability of product use, and review of advertising or label claims.
Evaluate government, scientific and industry positions to advance policy, scientific and regulatory understanding consistent with ADM?s mission and objectives.
Provide timely communication of regulatory events and timely progress reports to the business units.Provide support to the ADM MSDS system.Generate and/or compile supporting data for colleagues involved in all above activities as needed.
Requirements: Minimum of B.S. in Nutrition, Toxicology, Biochemistry, Chemistry or related fieldUnderstanding of regulatory affairs, product approvals and safety assessments preferably related to industrial productsGood critical thinking, writing and communication skills are needed, together with ability to plan and execute projects utilizing a variety of resourcesMinimum of five years of work experience in an industry settingTravel required as neededRelocation assistance is available with this position.
