Great Plains Territory Manager (E. Texas)A Great Plains Ag Territory Manager is responsible for working with dealers in a specific area to promote and sell Great Plains products.  We feel our products are designed to benefit the grower, the dealer, the company, and the territory manager based around sound agronomic principles.  This territory is comprised of 47 dealer locations across Eastern Texas.  Many of these dealers may have a “major” line like John Deere, Case, New Holland, or AGCO, or may be a “short line” stand alone dealer.  We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a background in agriculture.  This position is field based and the candidate should reside within the territory.  Responsibilities include: Developing a relationship with not only the Dealer principle, but also the Salespersons, Parts Manager, and Service Manager so that all parties are informed of new products, product changes, programs, service issues, parts promotions, and general company information.Making retail calls with the Dealer or Salesperson to aid in the sale of our product.Initiating a sales training program for Sales personnel in each dealership.Promoting and being involved in grower meetings, demonstrations, field days, and open houses.Selling products and writing orders for said product to insure that the proper inventory is in the dealer’s hands prior to and during the selling season.Replacing inactive dealers, recruiting new dealers, and being involved in identifying dealer development needs and initiating action for achievement.Inventory control / Inventory reporting.Market planning (understanding regional demand for products).Following up with the dealer and grower on unresolved service issues.Attending annual sales meetings to stay informed on our product and promote your personal development and growth. Skills Required:Strong communication skills both written and verbal.Must be highly self-motivated and a self-starter.Work with minimal or no supervision.Must be committed to quality work.Must be willing to complete tasks in a time sensitive environment.Have an excellent work attendance record. EOE
