Security Technical Platform Lead – #01PX4
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and influential Security Technical Platform Lead. This role will be located in St. Louis, MO, reporting to the Information Security Risks and Capabilities Lead. As a Security Technical Platform Lead, you will lead a team of architects and engineers who define, design and steward our core Security Controls and Identity Management technical platform strategies. Your will be focused on enterprise services that are consumed by our Product Development organization and other IT teams. You must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills that are required to partner with other IT leaders to identify opportunities and develop and deliver technical management processes, architectures, and systems solutions that support business strategies. You must also have the ability to align with the Information Security Office???s strategies and control objectives, which is a key element of this career opportunity. Key Responsibilities:Through thought leadership, establish, drive, and direct a robust and innovative technical platform strategy aligned with the company's business goals Help create a company-wide data culture focused innovation along side of standardization Understand evolving business needs and technology capabilities to optimize our technical approaches Manage the strategic plans for the technical platform???s architectures Prepare impact analysis, functional specifications, and designs to meet business objectives Ensure operational stability of existing systems while maximizing IT spend on transformational and strategic systems Promote shared infrastructure, applications, and services to reduce costs and improve information flows Ensure that projects do not duplicate functionality or diverge from standards or business and IT strategies Work with Architects to provide consensus-based technical solutions that are scalable, adaptable and in sync with changing business needs Participate in the development of policies, standards and guidelines that direct the selection, development, implementation and use of Information Technology within the enterprise Manage the risks through appropriate standards and policies Build employee knowledge and skills in your team???s specific areas of expertise Manage costs and develop forecast for architecture and engineering resources Exercise people reviews, develop people and motivate team leads to create thriving cultureQualifications:Required Skills/Experience:Must have one of the following: Minimum of a Bachelor???s degree in Computer Science or related field and at least 7 years of IT security domain experience, OR Minimum of a High School Diploma and at least 11 years of IT security domain experienceMinimum of 2 years of people leadership experience Ability to define, communicate and build a team around a shared vision and chart a realistic plan to achieve it over time Deep understanding and architectural experience across several security and identity management domains Operational and architectural experience with a variety of technologies and products across the multiple security and identity management architectural domains Ability to provide technical guidance to product development teams across IT to include security controls for on premise and cloud related environments Practice designing IT services that comply with regulations and privacy laws Ability to interact with senior external personnel and internal leadership on significant business and/or technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations Demonstrated ability to express outcomes and business value Ability to leverage emerging technologies to create global, enterprise solutions Strong conceptual and visionary thinking Ability to lead by influence and drive change in a matrixed and dynamic environment Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations using critical thinking skills and be decisive while working cooperatively with others Results-oriented with the ability to effectively prioritize Proven communication and facilitation skills Ability to grow relationships with key partners and suppliers Experience in evaluating, recommending, and integrating third-party IT products in large enterprises Desired Skills/Experience:Experience as part of an agile organization with a strong understanding of agile development, continuous deployment, and DevOps Experience developing, deploying, and managing services in ways that provide flexibility (e.g. private cloud, public cloud)About Us: Bayer successfully completed the acquisition of Monsanto in June 2018, bringing together Monsanto???s leadership in seeds and plant traits with Bayer???s leadership in chemical and biological crop protection.
