Seed Account Manager The Seed Account Manager is responsible for growing the market share, profitability and sales volume of Monsanto???s seeds and traits business with assigned accounts. The position will focus on building strategic relationships with decision makers at assigned accounts. The Seed Account Manager will incorporate Monsanto strategy into the strategic direction of assigned accounts to develop a comprehensive business plan providing success for both companies. The individual in role may work from the following areas: North Dakota, South Dakota, or Western Minnesota. Key Business Responsibilities:??? Accountable for annual trait and genetic volume goals with assigned Corn States licensee accounts??? Develop and implement annual business plans with assigned accounts??? Develop and implement growth strategies with assigned accounts??? Influence longer-term strategic plans with key assigned accounts??? Successfully build a partner relationship with assigned accounts, serving as the business consultant to deliver short- and longer-term business objectives and achieve partnership status??? Manage expense and marketing resources within budget??? Serve as a key business consultant to assigned account???s management teams to:??? Develop and implement annual business plans that result in the account achieving agreed upon sales goals and volumes??? Manage trait and germplasm forecasting for assigned accounts??? Collaborate with accounts to set business direction and identify business opportunities??? Communicate, promote and implement marketing programs??? Communicate, promote, and support new Monsanto product launches??? Communicate and facilitate strategy and tactics to develop mutually beneficial business solutions??? Collaborate with Corn States Technical Product Rep to assess and develop strategic product supply plan for each assigned account that supports the Corn States genetic and trait strategy??? Collaborate with other Monsanto technology platform reps (e.g., Seed Applied Solutions, The Climate Corporation) to assess and develop strategic product plans and sales volumes for each assigned account Who is Monsanto? Bachelor???s degree required. Master???s degree or MBA preferred with a minimum of ten years professional commercial experience in sales and/or account management.??? Must possess proven leadership skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, persuasive selling and demonstrated negotiation skills??? Proven success in building effective relationships across broad organizations.??? Ability to gain access to senior management including CEO and Board of Directors of assigned accounts??? Basic computer and tablet skills (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote) ??? Working knowledge of business and financial analysis??? Ability to build and implement annual and strategic business plans based on common strategic analysis tools (SWOT, Porters 5 Forces etc)??? Demonstrated initiative, self motivation, assertiveness and results orientation, high energy, and commitment??? Ability to work in a team environment to develop and share tools and best practices for effective account management ??? Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment with 40% to 60% travel??? Ability to relocate if not already living within area of assignment, pass a background, substance abuse, and driving record checks???
