You will own your own work and find innovative ways to deliver on our vision of feeding the world responsibly while working along beside 15,000 people around the globe who care about you.Reporting to the Director, Proprietary Products Accounting, this position will be responsible for managing the accounting for seed production and seed marketing programs to ensure accurate financial presentation of the North American seed business.Key Tasks:- Single point of contact for senior management and provide information and support to the US and Canadian seed marketing management – Initiate and drive process improvements to maximize business opportunities- Communicate with suppliers and Seed Managers on program fulfillment and strategy- Manage supplier prepayments and approvals to ensure competitive advantages for the retail locations- Oversee month end closing procedures and journal entries for assigned balance sheet accounts- Provide direction to internal and external stakeholders on proper seed accounting procedures including phone, webinar, and in person training- Provide financial and business analysis to support key strategic objectives- Manage the reconciliation processes for technology royalty payments, seed rebates, discounts, marketing programs, supplier settlements, etc. – Performs other duties and projects as assigned- Manage accounting staff of eight various positionsTheIdeal CandidateOutside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.Skills:- Familiarity with seed business and related accounting- Strong integrity and business ethics- Advanced analytical, verbal, and written skills- Willing to travel occasionallyQualifications- BA/BS in Accounting/Finance.
