Seed Sales Representative
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Country Operations Division! We are looking for highly motivated self-starter to join our growing agriculture organization. You will be a Seed Sales Representative, working with local growers selling the best seed varieties which offer the greatest profit potential.
You must be able to make sound decisions, have the ability to influence others.
You must be detailed oriented with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.You will:Create and recommend specific seed varieties to targeted accounts with the goal of increasing seed sales.Spend a majority of time in the country working with growers to earn business.Utilize seed, Precision Farming technology, finance, and other marketing tools to grow market share.Understand the business functions of the employee team and assists the team in improving the efficiency and profitability of the location(s) assigned.Establish and maintain effective public relations through customer education and the promotion of new products and seed.Ensure that federal and state regulations pertaining to seed production and sales are observed and adhered to.Work with patrons in a courteous and professional manner.Performs other duties and needed or assigned.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree in Agronomy, Ag Econ, Ag Business, Ag Ed, Ag Engineering, Soil or Weed Science1 plus years of agronomy/seed, scouting, plant worker, or agriculture experienceKnowledge of agronomy and ability to provide cost effective services for co-op patronsAbility to work extended hours in-seasonPreferred Qualifications: (desired)Seed Sales experience
