Senior Accounting Supervisor
Description and Expectations:Candidate must possess proficient knowledge of basic computing systems, while mastering the knowledge of Company equipment software and systems. Candidate must possess excellent organization skills, self-motivation, a strong customer service attitude, a high level of integrity and must be able to communicate proficiently and effectively, in English, to co-workers, management, and customers. The Senior Accounting Supervisor will oversee all aspects of the accounting department. Position responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:Manage a set of accounting activities to ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate policies and external audits.Manage the monthly financial close process, ensuring all costs incurred are properly recorded. Interact with accounting department to plan and produce timely, efficient and accurate month and year end closings.Assist complex department managers and location department managers with accounting and reporting for local, state and federal policies.Actively review and advise on financial/accounting processes.Review accounts payable: post and enter invoices, review vendor accounts, issue payments requested by upper management, etc.Review accounts receivable: review customer accounts for correct payment terms, tax status, credit limits, etc.Approve and review purchase orders.Review wholegoods inventory: post settlements, review inventory list, reconcile wholegood accounts, etc.Assist with audits when needed.Complete miscellaneous tax reports upon request.Perform all duties instructed my management.
