Jacksonville, IL?PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT?Responsible for providing leadership in Agri-Finance administration, credit administration, and marketing of credit programs as a sales tool.??SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP?Supervise, lead and develop the staff of the credit department.?Provides leadership and coordination of activities to employees engaged in marketing credit programs.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Manage a portfolio of existing loans, including reviewing financial, impact and other reporting, monitoring compliance with loan terms, handing loan modifications and workouts and conducting annual site visits.?Investigates and verifies financial status and reputation of prospective customers applying for credit, preparing documents to substantiate findings, and recommending rejection or approval of applications.?Establishes credit limitations on consumer accounts and handles special credit arrangements and deviations from standard terms of payment.?Reviews collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding and to evaluate effectiveness of current collection policies and procedures.?Audits delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad debt status to account.?Coordinates with others, including personnel in company branches to exchange information and update controls.?Participates in taking applications for financing and requests specified information for loan application.?Requests applicant credit reports, background checks, reference checks, and other information pertinent to loan applicants evaluation.?Analyzes applicant?s financial status, credit, and property evaluation to determine feasibility of granting loan or submits application to credit analyst for verification and recommendation.?Corresponds with or interviews applicant or creditors to resolve questions regarding application information.?Compiles loan package and facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.?Manages all aspects of the closing process, including working with outside legal counsel, reviewing closing due diligence and negotiating loan documents.?Prepare initial loan summaries and comprehensive credit memos, and present proposed loans to management and Loan Committee for review and approval.??ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS?Identifies and analyzes potential loan marketing options to develop prospects for operating loans.?Promotes and cross-sells other company products and services as appropriate to customer requirements.?Provides loan data to support marketing and sales promotion programs.??OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS?May submit delinquent accounts to attorney or outside agency for collection.?Performs all other duties as assigned.??REQUIREMENTS?Normally requires a Bachelor?s degree in business, agricultural, accounting or finance.? 5 years of progressively responsible sales/credit experience, 1 or 2 years in a leadership role or having demonstrated leadership capabilities.
