At CoBank, our Senior Auditor coordinates, performs financial, and leads simultaneous financial, operational, and regulatory audits in accordance with established department and professional audit standards. The Senior Auditor also prepares work papers that support opinions presented in reports, prepares clear and concise audit reports and delivers oral and written presentations to management detailing the results of the audit and evaluates the effectiveness of financial and operational controls using risk-based concepts. He/she also uses audit engagements as opportunities to identify, review, and test key business controls to assist management in meeting its objectives. This role will interact with executive and senior management, as well as key customers.? This role has high visibility both internally and externally, and will also provide future leadership opportunities at CoBank and the Farm Credit System (FCS).? The FCS is a $200+ Billion system encompassing 80+ organizations.? A high performing Senior Auditor will demonstrate an ability to quickly learn new business processes, be a team player through proactive contributions, and will demonstrate the ability to develop working relationships with internal and external customersBasic QualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or relevant discipline.5-7 years? experience in public accounting and/or internal audit, or appropriate combination of education and experience.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced knowledge and understanding of auditing principles and of applying ?best practices? of the internal audit profession.Advanced understanding of the COSO framework, GAAS, GAAP, and regulatory requirements for financial institutions.Excellent technical, analytical, interpersonal, time management, research, and oral/written communication skills.Intermediate ability to use standard applications employed by the department (Word, Excel, Access).Excellent ability to provide feedback, both oral and written, to all levels of management on critical issues.Strong ability to build and maintain client and team partnerships.CIA, CPA or other related professional certification preferredCoBank will not sponsor a work visa (e.g. H1B, etc.) to fill this position.CoBank is an Equal Opportunity Employer.Apply for this job.
