We are seeking a highly experienced diagnostic marketing expert to join a winning team to lead and drive the successful management of our new diagnostic instrument systems. The Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for setting strategic direction and managing all elements of the marketing mix and supporting the global product development teams to insure products meet the US market requirements for our instrument portfolio.The Senior Brand Manager, Diagnostics will be responsible for defining strategy, planning, forecasting, product development, and ultimately be accountable for P&L results for the Zoetis Diagnostics Instrument Systems portfolio. This individual will lead the marketing efforts for these products in both the direct professional channel and distribution. Position reports into the US Director of Marketing, DiagnosticsDuties and Responsibilities:Responsible for the strategic plan for US Diagnostics instrument systems; including product development, marketing plan development, market and competitive analysis, brand positioning, pricing, forecasting and development of a communications plan focused on both external and internal customers Responsible for short and long-term financial planning, development of sales and operating budgets, management of and operating within approved financial parameters to enhance profitability of the diagnostic instrument portfolio.* Responsible to manage the A & P budget for assigned products* Operating Plan preparation and execution for assigned products* Produce accurate product supply and revenue forecastingDevelop, implement, and measure marketing initiatives, which support the immediate and long-term growth of the Zoetis Diagnostics business. Manage effective relationships with multiple internal stakeholders (market research, regulatory, finance, manufacturing, Global Diagnostics, inventory/distribution) and all necessary external vendors to maintain strong market growth and increase demand for Zoetis Diagnostic products. Develop and deliver timely marketing materials and programs to the sales force and all channel partners in support of demand creation efforts. Develop, implement and measure effective CRM and DTC programs that educate the veterinarian and drive clinic demand leading to overall market growth and increased product usage. Represent the US Diagnostics business on Global Diagnostics product development teams to insure US market requirements are identified, communicated and incorporated into new products. Execute trade off decisions as appropriate Manage and execute communications from customers, territory managers, area sales managers, and senior management on assigned products. Work across species business units to understand BU needs and uncover product opportunities then translate to requirements for Global product development to achieve goals. Direct and maintain ongoing relationships with agencies and consultants. Develop a strong knowledge of competitive landscape and customer insights including managing all competitive intelligence. Provide reports, feedback and manage communications to appropriate Zoetis senior management.QUALIFICATIONS:* Education: Bachelor”s required, MBA and scientific education/experience preferred or equivalent work experience* Minimum of 7-10 years of relevant marketing and commercial experience, preferably animal health/diagnostics, with a history of demonstrated success in delivering business results in innovative and rapidly changing environment. Prior sales and/or other field customer based experience is preferred* Demonstrated success with product development and launching complex reagent and instrument systems.* Demonstrated analytical and business metric skills* Excellent understanding of science-based veterinary marketing and customer needs.* Mastery of the marketing process, with demonstrated experience in pricing, positioning, placement and promotion.* Proven ability to develop and execute best in class integrated marketing plans and programs to address a highly competitive and growing dynamic market.* Superior customer focus and the ability to work with others to achieve personal and team goals.* Strong oral and written communication skills required. Able to deliver effective presentations to large business groups.* Demonstrated ability to work within a matrix organization and deliver results as an individual contributor
