Senior Business Intelligence Analyst

Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will enable the data and analysis
capabilities for various business lines or functions within Cargill Feed &
Nutrition (CFN) U.S. The role will actively partner with business stakeholders
to solve problems through data and the application of reporting and analysis
tools.? The role requires an analyst
skilled in the use of data and technology for reporting and analysis.?? The role will create and deliver data sets,
metrics, reports, dashboards and insights for the organization.?
role will also work with business stakeholders to
address current initiatives and future opportunities, surface unseen issues
with business processes, and to adopt a data centric view of business practices
and operations. A successful candidate will be one who demonstrates a curiosity
to explore data sets and sources as well as a resourceful problem solver.
Principal Accountabilities?45%?? ?Development
of Technical Solutions:? Responsible for development of technical
solutions needed to provide an effective and efficient data and analysis
solution that can support the business.?
Through knowledge of data structures, ability to join/integrate tables to
provide the necessary data for analytics and/or reporting. ?Primary development will occur in SQL Server
or Hadoop environments.
35%?? Analyze and Deliver New Reports:?
Working directly with business stakeholders across functions and/or
business lines, the BI Analyst will evaluate the business environment and
develop BI solutions.? Strong communication skills are required to solicit
the requirements and communicate with non-technical business stakeholders
?15% Provide coaching and
training across the business on the use of data / analysis / reporting tools.? Part of this role includes the ability to
drive the behavior of the business to use data and tools in ways they may have
been resistant to in the past. This will require not only interpersonal
relationships but also a level of expertise displayed by the analyst.
?5%?? ?BI Reporting
Governance and Process Improvement:? The
BI Analyst will be responsible for the governance (standards and documentation)
of solutions developed. The Analyst will also be responsible for identifying
opportunities to catalogue, streamline and improve data and analysis solutions.
Adherence to the Data & BI team best practices will also be the
responsibility of the analyst.
?Minimum Required QualificationsBachelor?s degreeMinimum four years of experience in a combination of the following disciplines: 1.??Data Visualization and generation (Tableau, Domo, D3, etc.), 2.? Database Querying (SQL, IBM AS400, SAP HANA, 3.??General Reporting Analyst roleMinimum two years experience in Dashboard/Data Visualization Applications (Tableau, QlikView, Domo, Birst, etc.)Minimum two years experience in Alteryx, Knime, or a similar ETL tool/processAdvanced analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to understand business and technical functions, process information quickly and assess impacts to data elementsPossess highly developed interpersonal skills to build strong positive business relationshipsDemonstrated ability to take initiativeExperience documenting technical processesExperience generating analysis and presenting to business users and leadershipAbility to travel up to 10%?Preferred QualificationsAdvanced Degree in Business, Management, MIS, Statistics, or Computer ScienceMinimum of six years in a BI/Reporting or Data Analyst roleWork experience in a line of businessSQL, R, Python or similar languageSAP experienceMicrosoft SQL Server, Toad, Business ObjectsPrevious experience working in a Hadoop environmentDemonstrated ability to understand business requirements and identify data patterns, trends and risksDemonstrated ability to quickly learnExperience in Data Mining Tools (Alteryx, Knime, Rapidminer etc.). ?Alteryx preferred?This
