Come join us on our journey to create solutions for a sustainable future Counsel/Senior Counsel Product and Trade Regulations (1801701) – Florham Park, NJ; Washington, D.C., or Raleigh Durham, North Carolina Where the Chemistry Happens? The product regulatory attorney in this position will serve as Counsel or Senior Counsel to the Company reporting to the Associate General Counsel for Product & Trade Regulation. The Product & Trade Regulation group provides legal advice to BASF?s business and functions on the federal and state laws and regulations concerning BASF products, such as those governing chemicals, pesticides, foods & drugs and products of biotechnology. The group also provides advice concerning laws and regulations governing international movement of goods and technology, such as customs and export control laws. The position will work closely with the Associate General Counsel for Product and Trade Regulation, business units, functional units and other members of the legal department, providing advice and guidance on product regulatory issues.  Formula for Success: You Will? Provide advice on compliance with legal requirements governing the company?s portfolio of chemical, pesticide, biotechnology, food & drug and/or other products, including new product approvals, confidentiality and data compensation claims, investigation and voluntary disclosure of potential regulatory deviations, and defending the company against civil administrative enforcement claims.Review and comment on product regulatory provisions in transactions documents, including stock and asset purchase and sale agreements, confidentiality agreements, and material transfer agreements.Train functional and business unit personnel with respect to regulatory compliance issues.Develop a thorough understanding of and familiarity with the company's businesses, people, products, markets, facilities, customers, and competitors, in order to identify trends and formulate strategies accordingly.Perform special assignments or projects as determined by Legal Department managementProvide advice/counsel/comment on pending legislative and regulatory proposals in the substantive legal areasParticipate as appropriate in product regulatory associationsCreate Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You? Adding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
