Senior International Tax Manager ? Decatur, ILThis is an exempt level position. Position Summary:Reporting to the International Tax Director, this position will perform a variety of functions relating to the international tax aspects of planning, reporting, compliance, and audits.
Job Responsibilities: Provide US-international analysis of international acquisitions, restructurings and tax planning.
Assist with the analysis, preparation and review of disclosure statements and elections related thereto.Assist with the preparation of the Company?s quarterly and annual tax provision work paper with respect to International tax items including, but not limited to, the documentation of valuation allowances, APB 23 positions, tax reserves and the tax impact of business combinationsAssist with the international direct tax and indirect tax compliance processes, including Forms 5471, 8858s, 8865s, 8883s and 1118s to ensure compliance with US tax law, including Subpart F, foreign tax credits, earnings and profits calculationsSupport the preparation of transfer pricing studies and updates Support U.S. international tax audit defense Support 404 internal control testing and maintain SOX documentation and processes related to international taxationAd hoc tax projects as required or as needed Job Requirements: BS/BA in Accounting or Finance, with a CPA and/or Masters in Taxation preferredMinimum of seven years? previous experience with a combination of major public accounting firm and multinational corporation, with a minimum of
three years? international taxation experienceAbility to operate in a detail oriented and ?hands-on? environmentSound technical knowledge and practical experience dealing with foreign and U.S. international tax issues for multinational corporationsPrevious involvement in preparation of tax provisions for foreign entities under U.S. GAAPStrong accounting and analytical skills are required with ability to research tax law and apply relevant tax law to specific fact patternsPrevious experience with software programs, such as OneSource and/or CorpTax preferredTeam oriented, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership of projectsAbility to communicate tax issues clearly and interact effectively with various groups throughout the Company
