Senior Manager Business Relationship Management
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IS organization in order to provide technical solutions that meet business needs. Responsible for managing and maintaining IS relationships with customers in one or more business functionsUnderstands and documents business needs and business capability requirements and helps create and manage Business Capability RoadmapsPlays a key governance role in managing and prioritizing demand from the business to IS Manages the process of completing IS project requests and business casesLeads resolution of enterprise-level business issues requiring IS leadership, assisting business in understanding of capabilities available through technologyTakes on new, complex business problems, understands and defines the problem statement, analyzes possible scenarios and proposes solutionsActively participates in business discussions and represents IS in business strategic planningIs accountable to the business for the success of IS project portfolio as IS relates to their areaThe primary responsibility of this position is to be a strategic partner to the business, providing thought leadership and working with the IS organization to deliver and maintain technical solutions that achieve business and financial objectives. Responsibilities include: building strategic partnerships within assigned business units and acting as trusted advisors for the purpose of business/IS strategy development and alignment, solution discovery, service management, risk management and relationship management.
Possesses broad and widely applicable technical, analytical and organizational skills that can be used in a variety of roles within IS.
Utilizes skills, experience and business knowledge to provide deep functional consulting to the business by identifying business needs and translating them into IS solutions.
Extremely skilled at building relationships and negotiating outcomes that benefit all parties.Other responsibilities include: Acts as the primary point of contact for IS across Business Units; Champions and helps solve new, ambiguous problems (white space), understands and defines the problem statement, analyzes possible scenarios and proposes solutions; assists the business in understanding capabilities available through technology; continually drives optimization of the application portfolio; works closely with the IS Strategy and Architecture group to align business and IS strategiesREQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; Information Systems, Business Administration, Sales, Marketing or Product Development.Experience: 7 plus years of experience in IS and/or applicable business function, some of IS in a similar role with demonstrated relationship building skills resulting in traceable, measureable, impactful results.Computer Skills: Advanced computer skillsCommunication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication and facilitation skills required.SPECIAL SKILLS (if applicable): Industry knowledge and familiarity with current trends is a must, particularly in the areas of trade promotion management, sales reporting and analytics, e-commerce, digital marketing, and product development. Experience promoting Business Process Excellence, Business Transformation, Process re-engineering and Process simplification is must.
Experience in architecture role is a plus. Skilled in project and program management. Strong financial and vendor management acumen.
