In addition, Zoetis will never ask candidates to make any type of personal financial investment related to gaining employment with Zoetis.Role Description: As part of Zoetis” Global Tax Team, the Global Transfer Pricing Senior Manager is a critical team member who will connect expertise in global transfer pricing rules and methodologies with tax accounting and tax return activities, planning/strategy, audit defense and other important areas across the Tax group. The role will report directly to the Global Head of Transfer Pricing. This individual will be responsible for the development of new global transfer pricing policies, ensuring compliance with existing transfer pricing policies, maintaining documentation in accordance with tax laws and regulations around the world, and provide support on transfer pricing audits both in the US and in local countries. Responsibilities:
* Responsible for oversight and governance for transfer pricing documentation to meet country specific reporting requirements both in the US outside of the US. * Prepare and file the group”s country by country report (“CBCR”) to the US IRS and coordinate with regional tax teams and local finance to make sure local CBCR requirements are met. * Monitor compliance with transfer pricing policies. * Support the continuous development and improvement of Zoetis” TP policies and guidelines for the world, ensuring transfer price methodology and pricing mechanics are fit for purpose and consistent wherever possible. * Coordinate in-house data gathering process including regular interaction with the functional groups across the Company through interviews, data exchange, financial statement analysis. * Provide tax controversy support as it relates to transfer pricing matters including responses to tax authority inquires. * Ensure adherence to existing quarterly and annual SOX controls covering transfer pricing matters and develop new controls where necessary.
* Keep track of compliance with US and non-US transfer pricing rules as they may impact the broader tax considerations of the company. * Conduct financial and economic analyses on intercompany transactions and report findings to the Global Head of Transfer Pricing. * Assist Tax Operations on interim and annual tax provision and reporting matters. * Forecasting US GAAP income on a quarterly basis for purposes of determining the annualized effective tax rate. * Monitor legislative changes in tax laws related to transfer pricing that may impact the company”s tax positions and/or compliance requirements. * Research and draft technical memorandums to support tax strategies. * Support other tax planning projects, as needed. * Working together with the Head of Tax and Global Head of Transfer Pricing to provide transfer pricing advice on various regional and/or global aspects of Zoetis” business operations. This includes advice and recommendations on business initiatives related to supply chain, procurement, manufacturing, marketing and sales. * Assist with tax due diligence to support mergers and acquisitions * Integrate new acquisitions and collaboration deals from a transfer pricing and broader tax perspective. * Maintain relationship with outside service providers Qualifications Education
* Bachelor”s degree in economics or equivalent. * Masters preferred. Experience
* Minimum of 7+ years of related experience. * Knowledge and experience conducting functional analysis and preparing transfer pricing documentation. * Involvement in the implementation and maintenance of tax efficient supply chain structures. * Strong understanding of corporate income tax matters and industry issues. * Experience in identifying, analyzing and communicating complicated transfer pricing and tax issues in terms of the impact on business operations and results. * Experience in identifying global and domestic transfer pricing issues and opportunities. * Proven management experience and attention to detail. Skills * Strong analytical skills. * Technical expertise in transfer pricing (Section 482 / OECD / BEPS). * Ability to perform advanced modeling, data analytics and forecasting in relevant tools. * Pragmatic business partner who always finds the right balance between a simple solution that meets the business objectives, while complying with regulation and adequately managing the tax risks. * Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to interact and team effectively with company personnel and external advisors, * Ability to identify and communicate a broad range of transfer pricing opportunities and risks. * Sense of ownership and comfort in a dynamic and evolving organization. * Ability to embrace change and be flexible to changing business needs. * Interest in building an in-depth business understanding of Zoetis.
