Senior Manager, Tax Reporting

Position Objective:The objective of the position is to (1) manage the global tax reporting process for Bunge; (2) manage the forecasting process of the global effective tax rate (ETR) and cash tax model to provide better ETR; and (3) be a member of the team creating a culture of control and efficiency in income tax accounting.Major Opportunities and Decisions:The focus will be on improving the global standardized tax reporting process, including the implementation and global adoption of One Source, managing the quarterly and annual close process, assist in developing analytical tools to better forecast the ETR and cash taxes, improve visibility into global income tax audit exposure and provide tax accounting training and support to the regions.Principal Accountabilities:Create an effective process and manage the quarterly & annual global income tax reporting; including, but not limited to, FIN 48, deferred tax assets and liabilities, valuation allowances, SEC tax footnotes and disclosures, Sarbanes Oxley controls as they relate to income tax reporting and management reporting. Assist in the preparation of analysis of ETR and related footnotes.Provide tax accounting support and ongoing training for the regions.Develop and manage a global effective tax rate and cash tax model, using these tools to influence tax planning and other opportunities.Track and monitor global Uncertain Tax Positions and income tax auditsKnowledge/Competencies/Skills:• Operative understanding of tax cycle from planning through audit• Comprehensive understanding of the impact of taxes on the financial statements• Experience with the tax accounting impact of complex tax transactions• Experience managing a large, global income tax provision process• Ability to explain and advocate complex tax accounting positions• Ability to resolve complex technical issues, and recognize the need for and seeks out internal or external subject matter expertise• Basic understanding of tax systems capabilities• Passion for understanding processes and continuous process improvement• Experience with financial transactions a plus• Strong written and verbal communication skills• Results orientation driven from meaningful processes and organizational leadershipEducation:• Undergraduate or advanced degree in accounting. Advanced tax degree would be a plus.Experience:• 8-10 years of experience with ASC 740 in a large, multi-national, corporate tax or accounting firm environment• CPA certificationOther Requirements:• Good interpersonal skills, including ability and desire to communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with others throughout Finance organization• Self motivated, able to work independently and under pressure, i.e. sense of urgency• Good business judgment and creative problem solving skills
