Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.Reporting to the Production Manager, the senior Process Engineer is responsible for evaluation, maintenance, support, development, improvement and control of the ammonia and urea production processes at the Borger Nitrogen Operations plant.What you will do: Develop, implement, evaluate and monitor processes and operating systems for the manufacture of ammonia and urea productsDevelop and monitor unit KPI’s (catalyst, exchanger, machinery performance) to identify trends, detect problems and opportunities, and implement changes and controls in the operating units with the goal of continuously improving production, efficiency, cost and environmental performanceAssist and mentor Operations Engineers and operations personnelSupport Operations Engineer process education and knowledge development for all site personnelDevelop and publish effective process monitoring and control diagrams and score cardsSupport maintenance of Process Safety Information (PSI), including P&IDs and PFDs Lead investigations of plant production issues Identify short and long-term equipment improvement and replacement needs Manage scope, budget, and schedules for non-routine and small capital process improvement special projectsProvide technical support to capital project identification, development and execution Provide support in developing and tracking Operation budgetsDevelop alternatives and recommend design solutions, define scope and develop preliminary cost estimates and project economicsSupport site environmental compliance / reportingEnsure engineering standards are maintained in own work as well as in areas of responsibilityWhat you will bring: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering – Chemical or MechanicalProfessional Engineer Designation or immediately eligibleMinimum 15 years’ work experience in chemical or process engineering roles Excellent interpersonal communication skills with key stakeholdersProven experience in plant process monitoring, problem solving, and control systemsExtensive knowledge of ammonia, urea, and syngas processesProficiency in computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite and SAPAre you a good match?
