Senior Production Scheduler

The Senior Production Scheduler is responsible for all the planning functions surrounding the maintenance of the plan schedules and inventory levels including spoilage management, bulk operations, inventory turns, capacity management, interfacing with customer service when necessary and all factors leading to the highest level of customer service at the lowest cost and/or greatest product profit realization. This position reports to the Plant Manager and also consults with and advises the sales managers, customer service manager and other management personnel in supply chain management. The Senior Production Scheduler consults with and advises the production manager and warehouse manager to achieve the highest OEE possible and maximize warehouse space.Core Functions:Responsible for all plant operations scheduling while maintain a thorough understanding of facility capabilities and the ability to balance them efficiently to meet customer demand.Active member of the Plant safety programs and champion safety as the number one valueMonitor and approve payroll time and attendance for bulk oil operatorsWork with Supply Chain management on plant forecasting, capacities, and production reconciliation.Direct bulk oil operations and purchasing functionsManage inventory turns and warehouse capacity managementAnalyze customer demand to determine appropriate inventory levels and maximize warehouse spaceWork cooperatively with all sales personnel to identify solutions to customer service problems and scheduling conflictsMaintain planning and forecasting data files to support the planning functionWork closely with supply chain and sales functions to establish proper stocking levels for new productsWork with the purchasing coordinator to order and coordinate ingredients and materialsEstablish and maintain systems to support reorder points and exception reports so customer demand is supportedMonitor and communicate slow moving inventories to prevent product spoilageCoordinates with Warehouse Department on cycle countsGenerate weekly and daily finished goods schedulesMaintain measures of standard performance (Inventory turns, railcar turns, changeovers, schedule changes, etc.)Any other duties as assignedSkills/Experience RequirementsBachelor of Science in Business or related field preferred,Minimum of three years of experience in scheduling preferredAbility to use SAP at a high proficiency levelAbility to use Microsoft excel at a medium proficiency levelAbility to proficiently use a personal computerAccurate data entry skills requiredAdvanced communication skillsBunge is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
