Decatur, ILADM Sweeteners and StarchesThis is a full time, exempt position The Senior Project Manager is responsible to support the growth of ADM?s starch business serving as a leader managing several key starch business projects. This role will be responsible for coordinating and leading project plans across functions to ensure the timely execution of key project work streams.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work with the project team to define and clearly document project scope and schedule while focusing on regular and timely delivery of value.Organize and coordinate project team meetings as well as stage gate management review meetings.Standard project management tasks to include managing projects to completion; managing the process of definition and development of detailed requirements; Expertise to manage a technical team.Lead the refinement of requirements, development of plans and schedules, and estimation and project maintenance.Develop, establish and maintain project management standards and procedures and is responsible for defining project guidelines, obtaining business sponsor approvals, and coordinating resources necessary to successfully complete the project within scope, budget, and schedule.Coordinates work of functional leads and other project team members including consultants/contractors.Identifies and ensures all activities required to successfully meet the key stakeholder stage gate meetings are completed on time.Develop communication plans for multiple projects with the core teams and key stakeholders.Prepare and distribute project progress reports; manage risk, dependencies and issues.Correct and/or report deviations from plan and perform delivery planning for assigned projects.Creates and maintains SharePoint project site for each project.Ensure there are quality and well maintained project schedules, baselines and estimates to complete program/project and report variances.Reports on risks and provides ongoing risk management plan, risk assessment and mitigation within a program/project.Coordinate AFE capital requests for key projects ensuring proper readiness to clear stage gates.Reports on ongoing issues and changes utilizing existing processes and templates and publishing reports within a program/project.Creates and publishes weekly status report of activities, accomplishments, issues and action to resolve issues.Manage customer expectations for project deliverable, managing stakeholder communications, and helping to implement an effective system of project governance that doesn't overwhelm the team with process.Team Management: Hold teams accountable for their commitments, removing roadblocks to their work; leveraging organizational resources to improve capacity for project work.Process Management and Improvement: Use agile project management processes and champion ongoing
