Senior Quality & Compliance Assurance Analyst
World class stewardship has significant implications for ongoing research and business freedom to operate. It is a business critical operational competency for all DuPont Pioneer efforts involving biotech traits from discovery through development and breeding programs to parent seed and production. The Senior Quality & Compliance Assurance Analyst will coordinate and support critical programs at DuPont Pioneer including Excellence Through Stewardship (ETS), ISO 9000, Biotechnology Quality Management System (BQMS), the Research Management System (RMS), Integrated Operations Management System (IOMS), Contract compliance, and other requirements internal and external to the business. Responsibilities include:
Manage and assist in implementing and maintaining these quality systems through auditing to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Independently provide support and training to Research, Integrated Operations, and other key personnel regarding stewardship and compliance programs, principles, and practices.
Ensure Research staff fulfills these requirements and assist with issues on a timely basis if needed.
Participate on critical internal compliance committees (e.g. Export Control Compliance Team) and external industry association (e.g. ETS, CropLife International) committees.
Manage and coordinate external auditing firm contracts to maintain ETS, ISO, and other critical industry recognitions and certifications.
Coordinate external auditing firm scheduling and review audit reports for accuracy.
Assist with audit follow-up, root cause analysis, corrective action, and issue management.
Prepare professional and objective internal audit reports to clients and management.
Participate in projects to improve compliance processes and documentation. Develop Stewardship training materials and present to appropriate audiences as required Qualifications:
Education: B.S. or M.S.
Experience: 2 – 4 years with
B.S., 1 – 2 years with M.S.
American Society for Quality Certified Quality Auditor, RABQSA Auditor
Certification, or Internal Lead Auditor desired but not required (will
Physical Demands: Travel to
locations globally, some may be remote.
Working Conditions: Varies from
lab, office, greenhouse to field. Office environment while not auditing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of Quality Management Systems, generally; specific knowledge of
ISO 9000, Excellence Through Stewardship, the Biotechnology Quality
Management System, and GLP preferred. Basic understanding of molecular
biology, plant breeding, field trials, and biotechnology principles.
Understanding of improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
ability to prioritize multiple projects and communicate with a diverse
group of researchers regarding technical information.
Core Competencies: Ability to
objectively assess and audit against multiple standards and programs.
Capacity to write technical internal audit reports in a clear and concise
manner. Able to effectively communicate and provide training to personnel
in many different capacities and locations/countries.Functional Competencies: Attention to detail and able to prioritize work independently; customer service oriented and ability to work with a variety of different disciplines both within and external to the group. Experience with basic document control principles and practices. Basic data analysis capability and able to collate large amounts of information into an easy to understand format for external audiences.
