Senior Savory Flavorist ? Cranbury, NJ ADM Nutrition This is a full time, exempt position
MAIN FUNCTION: Savory Flavorist / developer to lead savory category projects in flavor creation while
driving sales in the organization through original creation of innovative winning flavors, flavor systems utilizing superior ingredient & technology knowledge in the savory category.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK PERFORMED:
Lead Savory Flavor projects ? Manage creative projects and collaborate and drive outstanding performance in the savory category. Develop from scratch creative and innovative Flavors for the Global Savory CategoryDevelop flavor top-notes, systems and toolbox approach for key customersIntroduce new savory raw materials & identify ingredient companies offering novel materials.
Develop a strong network of relationships, with customers and vendors, across the savory industryDevelop and nurture partnerships with key suppliersWork with Analytical to develop a robust database of savory flavor & ingredient analysisLead the development of savory flavors including beef, chicken, pork, vegetarian in a variety of formats including liquids, reactions, powders, finished flavor systems and incorporating novel ingredients.Develop a robust portfolio of consumer preferred flavors for savory products. Work closely with Purchasing to ensure best pricing and quality of materialsWork with the global flavorist community to ensure transfer of knowledge.Participate in flavorist Training program developing flavor creation techniques for savory flavors.Work with Marketing to promote the savory category and message and publicize the savory competency to the food industry Work with sales and global sales to identify opportunities for the savory categoryParticipate on all high potential savory projects and global savory initiativesWork closely with Sensory/consumer insights to develop emotionally evocative and preferred savory flavors
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS: Proven track record of success in the F & F Industry in the Savory Category. Capable of creating finished flavors & flavor systems.Science Degree or higher (chemistry /Food Science preferred) at a reputable educational establishmentAt least >12 years flavorist experience ability to demonstrate a savory competency.Full working knowledge of all flavor raw materials, flavor chemistry flavor creation & compositionGood knowledge of manufacturing processes and delivery technologies Member of Society of Flavor Chemists preferredHighly developed project management skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft office (Excel, PPT, WORD etc.)Relocation assistance is available with this position.
