OverviewThe global income tax accounting team is primarily responsible for ensuring that consolidated U.S. GAAP income taxes and related balances are properly stated and disclosed in the Company?s consolidated financial statements (10Ks and 10Qs).
Specifically, this team is responsible for: (a) calculating ADM?s global effective income tax rate; (b) ensuring that current income taxes payable and deferred income taxes are properly stated on ADM?s balance sheet; (c) preparing income tax disclosures in quarterly and annual SEC filings; and (d) ensuring compliance with income tax internal controls.
The global income tax accounting function is a team of individuals that coordinates its activities closely with local and regional accounting operations, corporate accounting and the tax department.
This position reports to the Director, Global Income Tax Accounting.GeneralThis role will comprise 25% global income tax accounting duties and 75% US Federal and state income tax accounting duties.
The individual in this role should possess a high degree of organization, planning, analytical, verbal and written communication skills, confidence in ability to make decisions, and the ability to perform in a team environment.
Opportunity exists to develop income tax accounting skills applicable to a large multi-national entity, and a broad knowledge of ADM?s global operations and consolidated financial information.Qualifications Bachelors degree in accounting or equivalent degree;Certified public accountant preferred;Ideally 3 ? 5 years relevant experience in application of Accounting for Income Taxes under U.S. GAAP;Prefer experience with a U.S. multinational corporation or Big 4 public accounting firm;Experience with complex projects and geographically diverse teams.Knowledge and Skills Required Intermediate knowledge of Accounting for Income Taxes preferred;Strong knowledge of US GAAP accounting principles;Experience with domestic and international corporate tax laws;Strong project management skills;Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills;Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to adapt to change;Ability to take large amounts of information, quickly summarize, and provide appropriate conclusions.Experience required using systems applications, such as CorpTax, OneSource Tax Provision, HFM, JD Edwards, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.;Self-starter who has the ability to work independently and meet deadlines;Ability to interact with various levels of global finance and tax management.
