SUMMARY: Assists field persons and growers to determine field application methods for fertilizer and pesticides.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Builds and installs equipment necessary for grower to make field applications.Calibrates and maintains equipment for accurate application rates.Coordinates product deliveries based on rate acres and equipment to ensure adequate supply of product.Ensures that application method, equipment, and rate are within label recommendation and crop parameters.Performs necessary maintenance and repair on service equipment.Other work-related duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.Reliable and regular attendance is expected. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent and four to five years farming and/or application experience. OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES: Understanding of farming cultural practices. Understanding of farm equipment. CDL class. Welding skills. Mechanical skills. Ability to perform mathematical calculations. Pesticide safety training. Basic knowledge of pesticides and fertilizers.
