Geismar, LA Where the Chemistry Happens As the Site Manager of Projects, you will provide managerial and technical leadership of centrally managed capital project planning and execution and sitewide project management office support services for capital projects. Your primary responsibilities include the safe and effective execution of medium capital projects, while managing all stakeholder expectations including support for the development and implementation of capital projects consistent with requirements as defined by the site and region, as well as all appropriate related contracting strategies. The Site Manager of Projects supports the development and implementation of all capital strategies in alignment with targets established by Asset Management and BU Capital Planning. This role also works closely with the OD?s/key stakeholders to proactively develop and deliver the agreed project portfolio. Formula for SuccessLeveraging your educational background in Engineering, as well as your extensive Projects experience, you will provide direction to a team of Project Managers and Project/Process Engineers, Project Controlling Engineers, plus Document Control Staff and Learning & DevelopmentTapping in to your broad-based knowledge and experience in technical areas for execution of capital project activities, you will act as the primary interface with Manufacturing organizations at the site when coordinating FTN capital project support for larger and more complex projects, including those projects leveraging the High Value Engineering Center and Global SourcingYou will provide project controls services (e.g. estimating, scheduling, cost controlling, document control, etc.) to the Manufacturing Area Project Teams at the siteYou will ensure that required project management and project controls technical capabilities are maintained through adequate training and succession planningYou will ensure the use of LEAN manufacturing tools to identify waste and drive continuous improvement in the planning and execution of capital projects at the siteCreate Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer YouAdding value to our customers begins with adding value to you.
