Software Engineer Intern – Global Production Genotyping
Corteva Agriscience has an opening for an internship within the Global Production Genotyping group. This position will focus on developing solutions intended for use by multiple individuals and groups. The position will require a background in computer science and/or programming experience. Applicants should also have the ability to communicate with individuals lacking knowledge in these areas such as biologists. Applicants with contributions to open source projects or GitHub pages are strongly encouraged to include links to these in their application. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with a more experienced developer on a project of high impact.Qualifications:Basic Requirements:Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, or another related STEM fieldKnowledge of common Computer Science concepts and their applications (Data Structures, Algorithm Design and Runtime Analysis, etc.)Experience in writing clean, concise, explicit codeExperience in designing and developing test casesUnderstanding of what constitutes good coding documentation (Comments, Official Docs, etc.)Ability to work independently and within a groupSupplemental Requirements: Proficient in PythonExperience with developing web based applicationsExperience with creating database queriesFamiliarity with coding reviewsBasic understanding of version control (Git, etc.)Any domain knowledge in biologyApply for this job.
