?Job description :SOLUTION MANAGER, FARM SUPPLIES AND LINERS & TUBESBannockburn, IL?BASIC FUNCTION?The Solution Manager, Farm Supplies and Liners & Tubes, will take the lead role in driving the consumables business by focusing on marketing, sales support and training in the United States and Canada. ?This position also works with the respective operating units to maintain existing solutions and assist and participate in future solution development. ?DeLaval is strongly targeting an integrated sales approach where dairyman?s challenges are the start of all we do.?RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop sales tools that can promote DeLaval solutions on farm and at the dealer level in collaboration with Product BAs and the marketsSupport overall DeLaval ?sales and provide support with an integrated solutions approachDevelop incentives in addition to educational and training tool kits, a clear sales process and other strategic tools.Maintain close relationship and provide direct support to key salesmen in charge of 80% of consumables businessIdentify and develop seasonal campaigns promoting solutions to occasional industry challenges that require an opportunistic approach.Focus on doing market/industry analysis and developing the knowledge.Maintain direct interactions with BA and supply chain.Do financial analysis of any marketing initiativeIdentify and establish specific on- arm messages and content. Push and Pull approach.Support product development and launchesFocus on DWS maintenance and updateDevelopment ?of long-term marketing plansWork closely with MarComm team and Channel Marketing manager to meet the needs of the marketplaceREQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIESCustomer/marketing mindset and the ability to drive this perspective within the companySelf-motivated/starter who takes ownership of the businessWorking through and with people in a cross-functional manner, must work well collaboratively and with teamsEffective priority management skills ? able to prioritize between conflicting demandsDemonstrated ability to support the sales team and help drive sales growthProven ability to quickly develop in-depth knowledge of a manufacturing-based industryEXPERIENCE/BACKGROUNDB.A./B.S. in Marketing, Animal Science or Agriculture5+ years of relevant work experienceTechnical product marketing experience required (affinity for technology, equipment and devices)Prior experience in marketing/sales is requiredPrior experience in dairy, animal husbandry or agriculture is preferredExperience working with dealers and distributors is preferredApply for this job.
