Solution Support Specialist, Robotics
??BASIC FUNCTION:?Reporting to the Solution Support Manager for Robotics, the Solution Support Specialist for Robotics is responsible for the coordination and use of ?best practices? related to development of VMS user expectations, training, routines, management and overall herd/farm productivity.? This position will coordinate and develop tools to be utilized by internal, dealership staff and end-user(s) related to the successful operation and management of a dairy facility utilizing VMS units, herd management software and other supporting solutions.??RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsible for the coordination and use of ?best practices? related to development of VMS user expectations, training, routines, management and overall herd/farm productivity.? Also responsible for analysing herd and VMS-related data.Design and execute research projects that contribute to overall improvement of milk quality parameters in herds milking with Robotic Solutions.Develop tools, SOPs and protocols for VMS users to ensure a successful and productive customer base, consistent with the wants and needs of specific users.Coordinate and develop tools to be utilized by internal, dealership staff and end-user(s) related to successful operation and management of a dairy facility utilizing VMS units, herd management software and other supporting solutions.Regular and timely support of VMS project during all phases (sales, training, start-up and follow-up during operation) as deemed appropriate on case by case basis.Train and follow-up with VMS users and applicable DeLaval staff as required, use of both device(s) and herd management software in effort to maximize and optimize utilization, confidence and success by all.Communicate/network with industry influentials and academia alike; attend relevant symposiums and seminars- disseminating information to appropriate DeLaval and client base.Develop and maintain detailed status updates and progress reports of the VMS client base.??REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:??? Minimum 50% travel requirement??EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND:MSc or PhD in Nutrition required with a strong preference for Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine3-5 years of related experience preferredDeep knowledge and understanding of dairy reproduction with background in Milk Quality considered a strong assetResearch experience in microbiology or milk quality preferredExperience in development/delivery of various research and training methodsFluency in the English language required; conversational French or Spanish is preferredStrong familiarity with Microsoft Office (most importantly Excel) and familiarity with various herd management platforms?Apply for this job.
