Soy Center Operations Maintenance

?Requisition ID : 1194Landus Cooperative is seeking an individual to perform Soy Center operational maintenance functions in order to benefit internal and external customers of Landus Cooperative, ensuring quality soybean production, while maintaining clean, safe, and well-kept facilities.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Maintain the processing and utilities equipment at the Soy Center to be operational.Perform all facility maintenance and housekeeping, including equipment inspection and monitoring throughout the facility.Order repair parts as needed for maintenance projects or breakdowns.Ability to operate the Soy Center master computer system.?Perform load out functions, which include preparing trucks and rail cars for shipment and loading products (oil, meal, and specialty oil) by rail and truck.Perform various quality control functions including operation of lab equipment for meal, oil, and water, visual inspection of all types of inventory, and measuring physical inventory on a periodic basis.Assist with manufacturing, packaging, and load out of specialty oil products.Welding or general upkeep of all equipment in the facility including tig welding of the oil piping.JOB REQUIREMENTS:Good vision, corrected to normal range is required for Soy Center operations.?Good hearing, corrected to normal range.?Ability to use mechanical and electrical tools to perform maintenance jobs.?Ability to use computer operational equipment and data processing equipment to record data and generate computer reports on a timely basis.?Be available for day or night work, and overtime as required by supervisor to operate plant or do maintenance.BASIC MENTAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.?There is stress relating to meeting production deadlines.?Weight carried, lifted, or moved – 1-100 lbs. unassisted (frequent) – 100-250 lbs. with assistance. ?Maneuver up to 600 lbs. with handcart. Repetitive hand movements consist of firm grasping with the right and/or left hand.?This job also requires the following: working on heights, being around moving machinery and vehicles, driving automotive equipment, and wearing personal protective equipment.WORKING CONDITIONS:Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.
