Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.Reporting to the Environmental Supervisor, the Environmental Specialist is responsible for tracking compliance with multi-media (air, water, and waste) regulatory programs and permits, preparing and submitting required reports, communicating environmental information with internal and external stakeholders, assisting in the development and implementation of site procedures, and other environmental responsibilities as assigned.What you will do: Actively engage in personal and co-worker health and safety to ensure we all go home safe, every dayBe responsible for all applicable air permits (Title V, NSRs, PBRs), three injection well permits, SPCC plan, SWP3, Waste Regulations, GHG PLan, CEMS Maintenance, and requirements associated with all PermitsPrepare and submit the following reports as assigned – Air Emission Inventory, Green House Gas, Tier II, Toxic Release Inventory, Toxic Substance Control Act, Sustainability, Annual Waste Summary, Annual P2, Semi-annual Deviation, Compliance Certifications and Deviation Reports, Texas Water Development Board, Quarterly CGA’s, Quarterly Injection well, Annual Injection Zone Report, Annual Discharge Monitoring Report, Annual Inspection Fee Report, Steers reporting, Monthly CEMS, Annual Ground Water Report, etcProvide hands on support for Site Compliance – Perform periodic environmental inspection/audits of the facility for continual improvement, initiate corrective action to reduce costs and risk, and conduct training of employee and site requirements Site Contact for regulatory audits Federal and StateUpdate and maintain Nutrien’s internal compliance tracking systemServe as Certified Opacity Reader for the facilityResponsible for environmental projects and guidance on projects which effect environmental matters – implementation of electronic systems for permit compliance tracking, remediation projects, site erosion control, installation or monitoring wells, etcWhat you will bring: Bachelor's Degree in an Environmental/Science/Engineering fieldTechnical aptitude to complete environmental reporting and permitting applicationsOrganizational skills to enable timely monitoring and response of environmental key performance indicatorsAbility to effectively manage multiple complex assignments with direct implications to the business: must be highly self-driven, with the ability to excel autonomously and in a teamProficient with computer applications including Microsoft Office Suite, SAP and online reportingAre you a good match?
