This position is responsible for identifying the training needs of personnel at all levels in the facility, overseeing knife room operations & personnel, and recommending appropriate new directions for training & organizational development activities, based on the business objectives of the plant. This position will also be responsible for monitoring performance of production floor trainers, orientation trainers, and any other personnel assigned to the training department. Other duties & responsibilities include, but are not limited to: maintaining & updating all training, orientation materials and records within the department, monitor daily paperwork for accuracy and completion, and manage the safety performance of all training department personnel. This position will also assist in functions of Human Resources (i.e. meat sales, Front Line Leadership training, interpreters, company picnic, etc). Other tasks may be assigned by supervisor. REQUIREMENTS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent; education beyond high school preferred. Experience: 2+ years experience; Tyson management or related experience preferred. Computer Skills: Standard computer skills. Communication Skills: Excellent verbal, written & presentation skills; bi-lingual skills a plus, but not required. Ability to present material to large groups of new & current Team Members. Special Skills: Must be able to make sound decision independently & display sound judgement and leadership skills, self-motivated with the ability to innovate new concepts, and have strong teaching skills and the ability to work with employees from diverse backgrounds.
