Care for each others health, safety and security.Reporting to the Commissioning Manager on Duty,the Specialist, Urea Melt will be responsible to support and manage a team of operators to commission and start-up the new (and modified) Borger Nitrogen Operations facilities. They will provide their expertise in all areas including, preparation, planning, commissioning, start-up, training and development of documentation for the area.Key Tasks:- Be the primary Subject Matter Expert for the Urea Melt area and work directly with the Area leads.- Work with the Operations liaison and other Commissioning Leads to ensure communication between the plant area is effective.- Review and provide feedback for all area-specific commissioning packages, operating procedures an start-up procedures and documents required to start the Urea Melt area.- Mentor all Urea Melt team members to do their work and challenge to improve their processes.- Monitor systems completion progress in their area with a focus on early turnover of completed systems.- Start-up and troubleshoot the process and equipment while commissioning systems.- Work with the vendors and licensors (Stamicarbon and UFT) to ensure the system meets performance guarantee requirements.- Work with SWP/Lockout Leads to manage all blind, LOTO, CSO/CSC master lists.- Ensure each system turned over is safe for commissioning and eventually for compliance to the BNO PSSR requirements.- Manage the workflow and safe work permitting daily within the assigned area.- Any other job responsibilities as required by the Companys discretion.The Ideal CandidateOutside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture. 15 years of experience at Stamicarbon Urea process minimum of 1500 Std tons or larger- Would be beneficial to have experience with Pool Reactor or Pool Condenser operation- Must have Urea Process control systems experience – Be a good leader and communicator and be able to interface with multi-disciplines- Be able to think through problems and take appropriate actions to move forward, but not take risks – Be a self-starter and work with minimum supervision- Dedicated to the successful conclusion of the project.- Able to read PIDs , learn 3D model operation- Attentive to detail for all work, office and field- Able to operate a computerWhy Agrium?We want to grow with you.
