Specialty Sales Representative (Pacific NW)

We currently have a Specialty Sales Representative position available in the Pacific Northwest. Promotes and sells company products to new and existingaccounts through direct customer contacts within assigned geographic region.
Provides customers with information on new andexisting products, educate and train on these products, works closely with ourcustomer service team regarding delivery and service, and brings pricing to themarket.
Continually identifiesprospective customers and develops new accounts. Compiles information on competitorsproducts and sales practices.
Managesterritory while working closely with leadership and sales team while independentlyplanning and organizes work, schedules sales calls, and submits reports ofsales activities.Responsibilities:Sell and steward identified Simplot products within market territory.
Researches, analyzes, and reports on competitors products and sales practices to senior sales members. This position will be expected to gather, analyze and report on market intelligence and position products responsibly.
Works primarily within assigned geographic territory to increase sales and client base.
Manages moderately complex sales accounts and transactions.
Works both collaboratively and independently to develop new sales accounts within and beyond designated sales territory. Education:Bachelor's Degree from 4 year college/university orextensive industry knowledge and experience considered.
Other:Five plus years related experience and/or training.Incumbents at this level typically possess a thorough knowledge of the company,its customers, its products and their uses.
Distinguishing Features: Individuals at thislevel have minimal pricing authority but significant input into personal andSimplot Diversified Products goals and objectives.
Some involvement in activities and issuesoutside his or her own territory may be required.
This is a career level professional salesposition. Certificates: Four-year degree with Business or Agriculture emphasispreferred.
