Sponsorship Sales & Industry Relations Manager
The Minnesota Soybean Growers Association (MSGA) is seeking an enthusiastic professional to fill an immediate opening as Sponsorship Sales & Industry Relations Manager in our Mankato, MN office. POSITION SUMMARY:The Sponsorship Sales & Industry Relations Manager will build industry relationships and develop revenue streams to support Minnesota Soybean Growers Association and Minnesota Soybean Research & Promotion Council missions. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop strong relationships with industry partnersLead interface between industry and soybean leadershipCoordinate the activities of the MN Soybean Industry Relations Action TeamDevelop strategies and generate sales of ads, sponsorships and other opportunities to grow revenue for the organizationWork with staff to integrate industry relationships with other program areas as appropriateWork closely with team members to assure programs are aligned with organizational strategic plan and budgets are managed accordingly ensuring compliance with relevant regulationsProvide industry expertise to action teams, staff and other program areas as appropriate QUALIFICATIONSDegree in business, or other relevant area required, four-year degree preferredMinimum of five years experience in sales or other promotional activitiesExtensive knowledge and experience related to agriculture requiredEstablished ag-based corporate contacts preferredGood understanding of association business acumenHighly motivated, organized, accurate, detail oriented with strong written and oral communication skills; excellent public relations skills, with evidence of ability to work and communicate with diverse people to ensure effective internal and external relationshipsAbility to plan, organize, direct and coordinate program activities and manage multiple projects, programs and contractorsAvailable to work evenings and weekends as job requires extensive travel (50%+) intrastate, and interstate. WORKING CONDITIONSWorking conditions include in-office, remote work and travel, including overnight travel. COMPENSATIONMinnesota Soybean offers a competitive total compensation package.
