Sr. Compensation Specialist

SUMMARY: Deliver on Tyson's unique TEAM Member value proposition, including integrated design, communication and delivery of total rewards (including compensation, benefits, and recognition), to accelerate client growth and meeting of business objectives. Help define compensation and recognition (and partner with the Global Benefits CoE on benefits) strategy and operationalization for clients to optimize business impact. Reports to Sr Director Total Rewards, Global BUs and Staff. Client groups will include a subset of Global BUs and Staff Functions. The primary duties for this position are: Provide Total Rewards consulting to dynamic client groups and use optimal rewards solutions to drive business growth. Theprimary focus is on compensation consulting (e.g. job evaluations, offers, restructuring, proactive data driven compensation planning); Advocate and counselor for Total Rewards strategies and TEAM Member value proposition realization to accelerate the business; With oversight from the Sr, Director Total Rewards, serve as main point of contact for client groups on Total Rewards matters, involving other Total Rewards and non-rewards CoEs as appropriate; Partner in developmentof company-wide Total Rewards strategy and pair with business needs and other HR strategies to develop business specific rewards strategies. Support Total Rewards Processes: Some specific responsibilities of this position are reviewing andediting job descriptions, conducting job evaluations, and compiling market data to provide competitive pay grades and ranges for management and management support jobs. This position is also responsible for helping administer the compensation policies and programs; preparing various wage and salary reports; helping complete compensation market surveys requests by third party consultants; examining compensation practices and compiling relevant statistics; conducting audits andanalyzing positions in order to identify potential policy problems. Other responsibilities include preparing spreadsheets; running reports and data entry using SAP, Access and Excel; calculating general and 'what-if' adjustments to assistmanagers in wage and salary administration, auditing and ensuring policy adherence; ensuring compliance (e.g. FLSA); assisting in year-end and other periodic compensation processes. Compensation consulting experience (external consultant experience a plus); Project management experience; Benefits and recognition experience a plus.
