Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager
CHS has an exciting opportunity in our Terminal Operations group. We are looking for a Sr. Continuous Improvement Manager to lead continuous improvement projects by determining scope, budget, time frames, forming teams, assigning tasks and managing resources and issues. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, creative problem solving and analytical skills as well as a demonstrated ability in change management in support of projects and transformation efforts. Superior organization and planning skills, including the ability to direct and prioritize multiple and complex projects to completion within deadlines is a must.
You will: Provide leadership in developing the terminal?s overall Continuous Improvement plan in alignment with the Terminal Manager and CHS? Continuous Improvement Teams.
Develop materials/tools and conduct training. Coach teams to improve results in safety, quality, delivery, cost and inventory. Coach the process of developing and deploying effective standard work practices.Lead all reporting and root-cause analysis.Study process flow charts and recommend modifications in work flow.Evaluate and analyze data, business processes, procedures and controls and identify opportunities for optimization. Identify critical success factors, metrics and KPIs in process analysis and design. Plan assign and measure progress of the work of the team to meet project needs, priorities and deadlines.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s degree7 plus years of implementing CI or Lean improvement techniques such as 5S, pull systems, Process & Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Flow Systems3 plus years of supervisor experienceProficient in Microsoft Office (word, excel, power point)
Preferred Qualifications: (desired)Lean Operations experienceProject Management experienceSix Sigma CertificationKnowledge and understanding of key process drivers affecting business results
