Job Summary:The Senior Director of Retail Commercial Execution will be responsible for overseeing the deployment of marketing campaigns and overseeing the development of local grower touchpoints and engagement strategies. This role will report to the Vice-President of Marketing and Innovation and will oversee a team of sales and marketing professionals at the national, regional, and local levels, including the entire solutions team (e.g., proprietary product managers) The Sr. Director of Commercial Execution will lead 2 primary teams: (1) Solutions and (2) Grower Engagement. These groups will support the development and execution of marketing strategies and grower touchpoints to drive a locally-relevant, grower-centric Nutrien experience. The ideal candidate will have an established track-record of developing, deploying and executing sales and marketing strategies programs, processes, and tools to achieve sales objectives in a team-selling environment. Key Tasks:Maintain central strategy for grower-facing marketing Coordinate with Sr. Director of Commercial Development and Director of Marketing Services to develop central marketing strategiesSet strategic direction of marketing campaigns, programs, and grower touchpointsPartner with Marketing Services on the creation of promotional materials for 3rd parties and overall brand goals Grower SolutionsOversee the cross-functional area solution teams, who are responsible for creating division-specific assortmentsWork with Director of Proprietary Product Support and Solutions to evolve Nutrien Ag Solutions’ solution offerings to be increasingly innovative and grower-centric, creating any needed business case and coordinating resources as needed to quickly pilot and adapt offerings Grower EngagementWork with division level marketing teams to coordinate and execute national marketing campaignsOwn budget and forecasting for marketing teams and oversee distribution of marketing resources Champion new campaigns programs designed to meet the needs of each micro-market and priority customer segment(s) that align with national prioritiesResponsible for field marketing team awareness of tools and resources available to execute marketing strategy Oversee roll-up of grower-level sales planning, including account plan development and key account managementQualifications:University degree in business or related field. Master’s degree preferred (e.g. MBA).10+ years of leadership experience in retail sales, sales operations, marketing, or customer service in a global environment.Strategic thinker with the ability to take a big picture approach to develop innovative strategies that support and balance both near and long-term objectives for the business.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to comfortably and professionally correspond with a variety of team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organization and customer base.Ability to build trust with others and demonstrate high level of professionalism and integrity.Ability to quickly learn and adopt new concepts and technologies.Technical proficiency with a variety of software applications, high aptitude of business analytics.
