Sr. Director – Executive Compensation
SUMMARY: This position leads executive rewards for Tyson Foods to attract, retain, and motivate the top talent in the industry through competitive and compelling rewards and activation to drive company growth. This includes holistic ownership for the total rewards for all contracted team members (approximately the top 500 team members) in collaboration with HR Business Partners, Global Benefits, Business Unit Total Rewards Consultants, and Compensation Operations. This position reports to the SVP Total Rewards and is a member of the Total Rewards Leadership Team. RESPONSIBILITIES: The key position specific responsibilities of this critical leadership position are to develop and activate executive rewards and support of the Compensation and Leadership Development Committee of the Board of Directors (“CLDC”). The position consults on and is accountable for executive rewards (e.g. offers, pay changes, structure, proactive data driven compensation planning, program design, program management, communication, etc) for the entire company. CLDC support is done in partnership with the CHRO and SVP Total Rewards and includes presenting and consulting with the CLDC. Key executive rewards strategy activation is acting as an advocate and counselor for broader Total Rewards strategies and team member value proposition activation to accelerate business growth. This role serves as the subject matter expert for the entire organization on Total Rewards matters for contracted team members, involving other Total Rewards and non-rewards CoEs as appropriate. These duties are executed with a team of two professionals (Executive Rewards Consulting Manager and Long-Term Incentive Manager) and both internal (e.g. Compensation Operations) and external service providers (e.g. stock plan administration). Beyond specific role responsibilities, this role collaborates as a people and thought leader organization wide to develop and activate the team member value proposition, total rewards strategy, talent strategy, and business strategy. This includes being an active member of the Total Rewards Leadership Team and the broader HR team. Rewards consulting experience (external consultant experience a plus); Project management experience; Benefits and recognition experience a plus. SPECIAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES: Expertise required in Relationship Building, Communication, Presentation, Consulting, Strategic Thought Leadership, Business Impact Focus, and Courage. High levels of proficiency required in People Leadership, Empowerment and Development (own TEAM and organizationally), Project Management and Simplification. CCP (Comp), GRP (Global Rewards) or similar certification preferred. Benefits and recognition and experience a plus. LOCATION: Springdale, AR or Chicago, IL.
