Sr. Financial Analyst
CHS has an exciting Sr. Financial Analyst opportunity in our Business Services Finance group. The Business Services Finance group is responsible for finance support of CHS? wholly-owned hedging and finance LLC?s, as well as several corporate functions.
The team informs senior leaders on the results of operations and financial condition of the business or function, leads budgeting and forecasting processes, and provides critical decision support on finance matters. You must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be self-motivated, inquisitive, responsible and detail oriented.You will:Design and conduct ongoing analysis of business unit profitability, cost structure, capital deployment and regulatory compliance.
Incorporate industry specific metrics into analysis and reports.
Provide results, issues, trends and insights to management.Ensure that related financial controls are executed as required (e.g. flux analysis)Partner with management and corporate to develop long-range financial plans, annual budgets and quarterly forecasts with management, budget owners and finance.Prepare monthly comparison analysis of actual results with plans and forecasts.Provide input and assist in development of meaningful, user-friendly reports and data for management and finance.
Provide ad-hoc reports and analysis as needed.Identify opportunities to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations through automation, data access, enhanced reporting and procedural adjustments.
Assist with development and implementation as needed.Gather data and perform analysis on past/current/proposed investments, acquisitions, divestitures, and other ad hoc topics.
Define and document assumptions, levers, risks and impacts to current operations and compliance.Maintain and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Basic Qualifications: (required)Bachelor?s Degree in Finance or Accounting.4-6 years of accounting or finance experience to include:Complex data analysis Financial planning and analysisDemonstrated previous experience with MS office suite to include:Advanced Excel spreadsheet experience that includes data management, macros and complex formulas.Preferred qualifications: (desired)Experience with SAPCPA or MBA
