Starches & Sweeteners NA employs more than 2,400 people and operates facilities in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio, Tennessee and Texas.Principal Accountabilities?ANALYSIS & REPORTING?Conduct analysis on market risk and partner with cross functional teams to implement ?risk management strategies?Reporting requirements include: Month-end financial reporting results and analysis, Financial statement reviews, Regulatory reporting, Position reporting, Forex reporting? Accurately report & communicate results to multiple stakeholders including commercial teams & Cargill Risk Committee associated with trading earnings, exposure reporting, and derivatives? Conduct financial analysis of the balance sheet to ensure proper controls over financial reporting.? Reviews results and provides technical accounting data and information to Finance partners.?Partners with Finance peers and cross-functional managers/supervisors to determine key financial information to include in the financial and management reporting package.?ACCOUNTING PROCESSES & PROCEDURES / COMPLIANCE? Monitors and measures compliance to the internal global control framework? Monitors internal control deficiencies/risks and raise issues to manager or supervisor. ?????????CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT? Identify areas of improvement and partner cross functionally to design and implement solutions? Implements shared services optimization?Drives the identification and implementation of process simplification, standardization and improvement.?Provides input for improvements to accounting process effectiveness and efficiency.?Partner with cross functional teams across Cargill to develop & implement best practices broadly?SYSTEMS & DATA MANAGEMENT? Leads and participates in new set-up and changes in existing financial applications to optimize effectiveness. Conducts training for new users. Ensures accuracy in the structural set-up for any new/existing businesses.This position is posted internally as well as externallySkills:
Required Qualifications Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Risk Management
Minimum 5 years of accounting and/or commodity risk management experience
Self starter with a curious and inquisitive mind with proven ability to challenge and influence changes
Strong financial analysis skills
Ability to communicate effectively with many functional groups and levels ? both written and orally.
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel.
