Sr HR Administrator (Temporary)

SUMMARY: The Coordinator is responsible for providing superior customer service to all levels of the Storm Lake facility through administrative support. The Coordinator will perform a variety of functions including: preparation of presentations and reports; maintaining information systems/databases and generating key reports; file and inventory management; and other duties as requested. The Coordinator will have the opportunity to work with all departments in a collaborative, team based environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Provide primary administrative support to the management team. Primary contact for external inquires and employee resource for general information regarding benefits, compensation, direction about current position, applying for internal job openings and other questions/concerns. Assist in the development and posting of all organizational announcements and maintain facility communication boards and monitors. Assists with maintenance of plant, farms, and feed mill employee attendance database in accordance to established work rules and assists in preparing attendance warnings to be issued by supervisor. Assist in the preparation of presentations, reports, and memos utilizing full knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Assists with organization of company-wide activities, retirements, Biggest Loser, and Cancer Awareness month. Distribute internal and external correspondence via email, fax and mail processing. Maintain HRIS employee database (SAP) by creating and processing forms throughout the employment cycle including new hire forms, job change forms, pay modifications, etc. Generate and analyze reports from SAP and other databases identifying key trends and recommending improvements. Create and maintain organizational charts and employee directory. Assist in employee event planning and administration of local rewards and recognition programs including 100 Club, safety BINGO, quarterly attendance bonus, service awards programs, etc. Create, maintain and organize employee personnel files, I-9's, and other documentation to ensure compliance to company retention policy. Prepare monthly headcount and turnover reports, complete verification of employment requests and garnishments. Responsible for maintaining accuracy and privacy of confidential employment information. Contribute to a continuous improvement environment by participating in activities such as line side problem solving. (LEAN Manufacturing) Contribute to a safe and organized work environment by maintaining a clean and orderly work space. (5S program) Assist and support all facility/HR activities as needed. Perform all other duties/special projects as assigned by supervisor.REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Bilingual in English/Spanish required; ability to write and speak both languages. Secretarial or Administrative Assistance experience preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization. Work requires continual attention to detail in composing, typing, proofing and analyzing materials. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to be resourceful, creative thinking skills and be able to act as a decision maker. Maintain confidentiality of personnel and payroll information. Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including 1st and 3rd shift.
