Working at Nutrien will provide you an opportunity to help us Feed the Future, and grow your career.What you will do: Promote and project safety leadership in all activitiesPromote, maintain, and project an atmosphere of excellent business ethics, integrityDirect the coordination, planning and execution of work activities for maintenance and assigned projectsLead and ensure the compliance to site safety and environmental programs and departmental procedures consistent with company policy, goals and objectives, regulatory compliance and industry best practice, i.e. PSM compliance, mechanical integrity, supplier & services integrity and integrationEnsure long term plant infrastructure reliability and integrity efforts and end of life tracking and replacement of major machinery, equipment and processesLead maintenance and capital projects following Nutrien Project Management Policies. Develop PMs for equipment and review with Maintenance personnel for implementation, effectiveness, monitoring and optimization.Provide maintenance engineering technical support to the facility production areas, supplier & services integration in addition to any other plant area or company area of needReview and approves plant modifications involving major process and equipment changes to ensure that all recommendations and modifications are technically and economically sound, complies with industry safety and environmental standards and efficienciesLiaise for maintenance activities with Corporate and other site groups to provide technical support and maintenance technical informationEnsure the existence of an updated, adequate and pertinent technical information system and reference library of plant equipment, machinery, vessels and other plant itemsDirect, interface, and resolve conflicts with project contractors and vendors for effective and efficient completion of engineering & maintenance site work activitiesStay abreast of new and innovative technologies, modern fabrication and assembly techniques for potential application and incorporation into plant process systemsDirect and review equipment and machinery design and initiate studies to investigate modifications for improved yields, capacity, energy, efficiency, equipment performance life, operating, maintenance procedures and environmental standardsChampion / Facilitate RCA of equipment failures or incidents and assist in the implementation of recommendations.Utilize KPIs to identify reliability bottlenecks and work with Operations and Maintenance personnel to improve availabilityBecome the site SME of key plant equipment What you will bring:BS ChE, ME, or CE degree from accredited university 10-15 years’ experience in the chemical, petro-chemical or related continuous process operations5 Years of Maintenance or Reliability Engineering Knowledge of the Nitrogen and Phosphate chemical processes is desirableTeam player and self directed attitudeExcellent interpersonal and organizational skills for effective coordination of programs across the siteExcellent communication (written and verbal) skillsStrong persuasion skills and confidence with all levels of Nutrien Employees and external contacts to be successfulExcellent multitasking skillsAbility to learn quickly and maintain the highest level of ethics and trustworthinessStrong computer skills are necessaryExperience with e-mail, web browsers and Microsoft Office software are essentialWillingness to work extended hours, particularly during turnarounds and unit down timesWillingness to participate on corporate teams and assist other locations (some travel required)Ethical Are you a good match?
