The Sr. Manager of Proprietary Planning will be a part of the Integrated Business Planning group. This position will be responsible for managing the Proprietary Planners and Procurement Specialists. The position also oversees the proprietary products planning, the proprietary products indirect buying program, and the active ingredient coordination with our corporate procurement leads. Proprietary Planning is responsible for ensuring adequate mid to long-term production/material plans are in place for assigned plants and the plant-corporate coordination of direction. This role is required to develop and maintain good working collaboration with many other groups within the company, such as Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Customer Service, Purchasing, Regulatory, Marketing, etc. Additional duties will include typical project management. Travel requirements will be approximately 10-20% of the year. The position will be located at our corporate headquarters in Loveland, CO. What you will do: Comply and promote high safety standards.Lead the group’s Continuous Improvement (CI) effort in purchasing and negotiations in commodity/inert chemicals while delivering repeatable savings in our total product cost position.Develop and maintain an automated RFQ type system to drive our purchasing CI effort.Management, mentorship and coaching of Proprietary Planners and Procurement Specialists.Define bottom up scenarios to enable the Proprietary Planners to achieve expected priorities on inventory and service levelLead evaluation of resulting target inventories or customer service of each scenarioManage system parameters to ensure they trigger the appropriate exception reviews for the planners to correct deviations vs. planned targets.Measures variances to standards, identifies out-of-control variances, investigates reasons, suggests solutions, installs, and follows up.Support the strategic sourcing/ procurement teams with capacity intervention activities as neededServe as a single point of contact for supply on teams for new product introduction and innovations; participate in meetings measuring success of those initiativesAccountable for development and delivery of a plan for an optimized proprietary networkCollaborate to drive continuous improvement across Proprietary Planning Ensure that there is proactive communication and delivery of targets, and production schedule adherence; drive action plans for improvement in case of non-compliant KPIsOversee the training and development of the Proprietary Planning group.Other areas added as needed.What you will bring: Bachelor’s Degree required, with 5-7 years of relevant experience preferred.Prior experience should include applying supply chain principles including procurement, sourcing, inventory management and logistics.Must possess strong leadership skills and be well organized, self-motivated, focused on meeting deadlines and able to multitask within a fast-paced environment.Good people management skillsExcellent analytical and communications skills.Demonstrated ability to support and interact effectively with other core business functions (Sales, Operations, Product Development, Distribution and logistics).Proficient with MS-Office programs, primarily Excel and prior ERP system experience.Able to process large amounts of data, influence others and drive cross-functional alignment and be able to communicate at various levels within the organization.APICS certification preferred.Are you a good match?
