In addition to the extensive North American, Australian, and South American distribution networks, Loveland Products has supply agreements in place with several major distributors globally.Position Summary:The Sr. Marketing Manager, Crop Protection will be responsible for the creation, development, implementation, and execution of the crop protection marketing plan and strategies designed to create a differentiated position for our customers while improving overall grower performance for both the US and Canada. The right candidate will have the ability to provide direction to two supporting product managers, evaluate internal/external data, market conditions and competitive responses and adjust marketing plans as needed.This position reports to the Director of Marketing, Loveland Products and requires that the successful candidate lives within commuting distance from Loveland, CO, with 40-50% travel required throughout the U.S. and Canada.Key Tasks:- Develop strategic marketing plans for crop protection product line consistent with Lovelands long term direction, for the US and Canada.- Work closely with Loveland research/sales personnel, industry contacts, and CPS personnel to accurately assess market conditions and identify new product opportunities for the North America portfolio.- Work closely with sales and tech service group to validate product performances, both new and old, with marketing field trials designed to strengthen overall marketing messages.- Provide financial analysis for the product line, including new products, with timely and accurate forecasts as well as analyzing the current line to determine portfolio rationalization opportunities.- Identify and implement new promotional tactics to create awareness.- Manage two product managers, supporting the US and Canadian portfolios.The Ideal CandidateOutside of the skills and necessary qualifications, our ideal candidate must be committed to achieving superior results with integrity and sustaining our safe and positive work environment while having the ability to embrace working side by side others in a diverse culture.Skills:- Highly self-motivated- Ability to lead small groups to achieve a common goal- Excellent verbal and written communications skills- Must have, or have the ability to obtain, a valid US Driver's license and US Passport- The highest ethical standards and sense of accountabilityQualifications:- Minimum 4-year Bachelor Degree in an Ag-related field- 6-8 years experience in sales or marketing in an Ag related field- Willingness and ability to travel extensively both nationally and internationally (Canada)Why Crop Production Services?Winning together; Our Cultivating Excellence culture coupled with great people and delivering superior results with integrity is what sets Agrium apart from other career opportunities.
