Elyria, OHWhere the Chemistry HappensWe are seeking a professional like you to deliver technical leadership by providing guidance for maintenance repair and supporting reliability and mechanical integrity efforts for manufacturing equipment such as hoppers, paddle blenders, crushers, kilns, and milling machines. You will provide support to Root Cause Failure Analyses, troubleshoot problems, and monitor PM and PdM programs. You will also ensure a culture of continuous improvement employing LEAN Manufacturing tools. Formula for SuccessLeveraging your Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience working in a manufacturing environment, you will support the maintenance team by reviewing work order feedback forms for accuracy/completeness, providing feedback to the planner and scheduler regarding potential improvements to similar future work, and evaluating jobs and eliminating unnecessary or redundant work.Demonstrating your solid understanding of manufacturing equipment and overall plant manufacturing processes, including familiarity with environmental, safety, and health procedures and issues, you will provide technical support to the Maintenance/Operations team, specialists, and craftsmen on challenging equipment repair issues. You will also be responsible for supporting maintenance technicians, planners, scheduler, embedded contractors, and contracted work forces performing maintenance activities with technical repair.Your strong communication and team leadership abilities will serve you well as you organize, plan and lead production maintenance outages, including small project implementation.Your experience with manufacturing reporting systems, specifically experience using SAP, will be a valued asset as you provide expertise in utilizing the SAP maintenance system. You will be responsible for accurate functional locations, BOMs, work plans, and assuring SAP information is sustainable in the future.Supporting Reliability efforts, you will participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis, execute corrective actions for complex and/or repetitive problems, engage in the ?Bad Actor? program, and implement action plans for improving reliability.Your robust analytical skills will be essential as you support reliability processes to drive improvements, optimize costs, and improve asset effectiveness (e.g., Bad Actor Management, FMEA, RBI, RBM, RCM, Reliability Roadmap) as needed and conduct work order review, supporting and optimizing Preventative Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) plans.Your ability to read piping & instrumentation drawings, engineering specifications & drawings, and vendor-supplied information will benefit you as you ensure continuous improvement to the maintenance work processes to enhance plant availability and reduce the plant repair factor and develop and maintain SOPs for utility systems.Acting with entrepreneurial drive and a team player mindset, you will assist in the training and development of maintenance resources and ensure all maintenance employees are trained on all applicable procedures.Familiarity with BASF Technical standards, procurement policies, material control/expediting, estimating tools, the project execution process, as well as site and plant procedures will be advantageous as you develop and implement programs to ensure compliance with all BASF technical engineering standards, including ownership of mechanical integrity program.
