Sr Product Planner
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role, Senior Product Planner, are to:
Create and optimize the master schedule and production plan for assigned work centers to meet the needs of Animal Health Product Management, Contract Manufacturing, Manufacturing Services, and Bayer Affiliates while considering available capacity/resources, cycle times within manufacturing and asset management goals;
Initiate monthly communication with Animal Health Product Management, and Manufacturing Services to review forecasts vs. budgets and takes appropriate actions to support business goals;
Manage the local MRP/Planning systems and related data in order to accurately reflect all production planning requirements to ensure that the correct material purchasing, planned production order, and production/capacity information is generated to support customer forecasts. This task requires coordinating changes and implementation with numerous departments that are impacted by the results;
Represent the Production Planning Department in scale-up or launch team activities to ensure all MRP requirements are identified and accomplished;
Perform monthly analysis of inventories to ensure that finished goods/WIP inventory goals are met, as well as, identifies obsolete inventories (both finished goods and materials) and ensures timely disposition;
Analyze inventories related to products planned and recommends and implements reductions;
Monitor release status of finished goods planned and takes appropriate actions to ensure final release per schedule;
Lead other professionals through providing support and direction for the department business process analysts related to inventory activities supporting the production plan, initiation and lead teams as required to accomplish job responsibilities, complete assignments for more than one business unit or functional area, and communicate effectively with all levels of employees to clarify status or resolve issues;
Be responsible for training others at entry level.

BA/BS degree with 4+ years of material management experience; or
MBA/MA degree with 2+ years of material management experience; or AA/AS with 6+ years of materials management experience; or
HS diploma with 10+ years of material management experience;
Advanced skill in materials management techniques;
Demonstrated skills in using and analyzing automated MRP data;
Strong organizational, communication (with internal and external customers), and time management skills required;
Excellent PC skills, including experience using spreadsheets;
Knowledge of cGMPs required;
Demonstrated ability to work within a fast paced environment, handling conflict situations, dealing effectively with multiple demands and very dynamic situations.
Material management experience in a FDA-regulated or pharmaceutical industry;
Experience in SAP;
Experience with Microsoft Excel;
