Freeport, TX A Sr. Production Technician in the Hydroxylamine Unit works from specific verbal and/or written instructions to operate the appropriate process equipment to produce a consistent product in a safe and efficient manner.Create Your Own Chemistry: What We Offer You? Principal responsibilities include, but are not limited to: ? Operates process equipment to maintain product within customer specifications.? Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the work area.? Follows all safety regulations and best practices.? Perform routine sampling of process and adjust processes as necessary to remain within established parameters.? Perform routine rounds of work area to ensure equipment is operating properly.? Document with checksheets on tablets.? Problem solving and troubleshooting of equipment.? Knowledge of safety regulations associated with a chemical operation.? Knowledge of proper material handling procedures.? Perform autonomous maintenance.? Assist in training new employees.EHS:? Adhere to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.? Authorize work in the unit with use of safework, hotwork and confined space permits.? Participate in safety programs, ie. ZIP Process.? Participate in incident investigations.? Accomplish day-to-day and recurring EHS activities.? Utilize safety suggestions to increase safety performance. ? Proactive hazard recognition.? Attend and participate in safety meetings. Basic qualifications: ? High School Diploma or GED? Minimum (8) years? experience in Hydroxylamine productionPreferred qualifications: ? Minimum of (3) years? Ammonia vaporization experienceThis position requires all candidates to either currently possess or obtain and maintain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) Card from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
