Sr. Project Manager – Agricultural Engineering

Reporting to the – VP Vineyard Management, the Sr. Project Manager – Agricultural Engineering will serve as a key member of Gallo’s Agricultural Vineyard Services leadership team while managing a portfolio of projects that will drive best practices and innovation within the agricultural precision and mechanization arenas. This position will be supporting the company enterprise wide across all growing regions with key stakeholders in functions of Winegrowing, Viticulture Chemistry & Enology, Research & Development, Engineering and Quality Assurance. S/he will work to assist to establish direction, set priorities and deliver world class agricultural engineering services to the organization. What you’ll do: Executing with Excellence: leads planning and managing involvement from conception through implementation toward improved vineyard machinery, mechanization practices, Geographic Information System (GIS) technologies and variable rate applications of cultural practices such as canopy management, irrigation, fertilization and chemical applicationsBuilding Relationships and Using Influence: master collaborator and facilitator influencing both internal and external partners to drive innovation and enable best practicesTechnical / Business Acumen: strong fluency in providing technical applications to solve business problems, while articulating complex concepts in both a technical and non-technical mannerDriving Innovation: striking a balance between theoretical and pragmatic solutions that are actionable and yield positive sustainable business results Who we are looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural/Biological/Ecological Engineering, Agricultural Systems Management, Agricultural Science, or Soil Science with 10+ years of progressive experience executing agricultural engineering initiatives or managing the execution of vineyard operations OR a Master’s degree with 8+ years of experience in the following areas mentioned aboveProject and capital management experience working in a complex agricultural environment What will set you apart: Master’s degree in Agricultural/Biological/Ecological Engineering, Agricultural Systems Management, Agricultural Science, or Soil Science with 10+ years of progressive experience executing agricultural engineering initiatives or managing the execution of vineyard operationsKnowledge of GIS and variable rate application machineryLean Six Sigma certification or experienceHighly collaborative leader with strong influencing and facilitation skills Gallo does not sponsor for employment based visas for this position now or in the futureApply for this job.
